Welcome to Lincolnwood!
The Village of Lincolnwood is located approximately 10 miles north of downtown Chicago and serves as the gateway to Chicagoland’s North Shore. It is an ethnically diverse community of 12,590 residents, with tree-lined streets, beautiful neighborhoods and parks, an excellent school system, and prosperous business community. We encourage you to explore all aspects of the community and of this site.About Lincolnwood
Join Lincolnwood’s next artist Lucille Herman on March 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lincolnwood’s next Art Gallery Reception in Village Hall. Lucille’s work will be on display beginning March 2 through the end of April.
On March 1, 2017 the Village of Lincolnwood consolidated its Police and Fire dispatch services with the Village of Skokie. When a call to 9-1-1 is made in Lincolnwood the call is answered at the Skokie Police Station. The appropriate Lincolnwood emergency police and/or fire response personnel are dispatched to handle the call. As a result of consolidation, personnel are no longer on-duty to receive the public at the Police Station after normal business hours. Please be advised that in order to better serve the community and provide broader accessibility the Lincolnwood Police Department lobby hours will be extended effective February 20, 2018. The new lobby hours will be Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Village President Barry Bass said “Since the State of Illinois mandate required consolidation of the Village’s dispatch center the Village has been working to extend the police lobby hours in order to better serve the residents of the community. This is being accomplished with no impact to the budget.” The department Records Clerks will ensure that the additional hours are staffed by on-duty personnel to accommodate residents who may require assistance. The main goal is to continue to offer excellent public safety and quality police service to our community.
