On the Fourth of July every year, Americans travel on roadways to celebrate Independence Day at picnics, parties, parades, and homes. Unfortunately, for many, the celebration includes drinking alcohol and driving on one of the most traveled holidays of the year. The Lincolnwood Police Department will be participating in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign this Fourth of July which means zero tolerance for drunk driving, no excuses. More information about the campaign, national drunk driving statistics, and safety tips for people hosting or attending an Independence Day celebration is available in the press release.
