The Public Works Department is offering a one-time free wood chip delivery program. Spreading of wood chips is an effective means of promoting good plant health, especially through the winter months. The Public Works Department will deliver either a half or a full dump truck load of wood chips to residential parkways or driveways. Once the wood chips are delivered, they will be the resident’s responsibility. The Village will not pick up any wood chips after they have been delivered. The Village will not assist with the application or disposal of wood chips once they have been delivered. Applications for delivery are available here, and will be accepted until 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25. Wood chip delivery will take place over the following two weeks. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific date or time for delivery however delivery will occur Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional information can be found on the Village’s website or by calling the Public Works Department at (847) 675-0888.
