The Crawford Avenue reconstruction project will begin in April with full lane closures beginning the first week of April. In 2014, northbound and southbound lanes from Howard Street to Oakton Street and northbound lanes from Devon Avenue to Howard Street will be reconstructed. The first stage will result in one lane of traffic in each direction. East side lanes will be closed and traffic will be shifted to the west side. At the railway crossing, traffic will be transitioned to accommodate paving operations within the railroad vicinity. Over the winter, two lanes of traffic in each direction, all turn lanes and street returns will be open. Construction will continue into 2015 with different lane closures. For complete information about the project, please visit the dedicated Crawford Avenue page.
