TAX INFORMATION

PROPERTY TAXES -  The property tax that the Village of Lincolnwood receives is approximately 11% of the total property tax bill. The property tax is used for the following:

                All Other Residents' Services                                           20%

SALES TAX  -  The 9.00% sales tax paid on purchases at businesses in Lincolnwood is distributed as follows:

UTILITY TAXES - The Village of Lincolnwood Natural Gas and Electricity Utility Tax rate is 5.15%. The Village of Lincolnwood each year refunds to the elderly and needy residents' ( if they qualify based on their income level ) 5% of the utility taxes they paid to the Village.  

The Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax rate is 6% for the Village of Lincolnwood and 7% for the State of Illinois.
