The following are licenses and permits available through the Finance Department:

Business Licenses - A new licensing year is effective May 1st for all businesses. Businesses are responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses. For further information or to determine if your business requires a license, or to obtain a fee schedule please contact the Finance Department at (847) 673-1540. Vehicle Sticker Licenses -  Vehicle stickers go on sale in mid-May each year.  Pre-printed application forms are mailed in May to all residents who purchased a vehicle sticker the previous year.  If the pre printed form is not received a vehicle sticker can be issued with a current Illinois vehicle registration.  Fees are as follows:

$40.00 Passenger Vehicle

$30.00 Motorcycle

$50.00 and up for various trucks

Pet Licenses for all dogs and cats over 4 months in age are due by July 1st of each year. Proof of rabies inoculations is required before issuance of pet license. The fees are as follows: $8 dogs $4 dogs that are spayed and neutered $6 cats $3 cats that are spayed and neutered

Pet licenses can be purchased at Village Hall Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Garage Sale - Permits are available for purchase at Village Hall.  Residents are allowed two (2) garage sales per calendar year with a minimum of 30 days between sales.  Village also requires a 72 hour/3 day notification before garage sale permits are issued. Cost of a garage sale permit is $3 each.

Estate Sale - Permits are available at Village Hall.  Resident must give 72 hour/3 day notification prior to Estate sale.  Cost of an Estate sale permit is  $25 each. 

Additional Fee Items:

NSF and Returned Check Fees -  The Village has implemented a fee of $25.00 per check for checks returned by the bank for any reason. 

Certificate of Payment Fee - The Village of Lincolnwood has implemented a $20.00 processing fee payable to the Village upon issuance of a Certificate of Payment.

Yardwaste bags - Yardwaste bags may be purchased at Village Hall.  Bags are sold in a bundle of 5 for $2.00.

Block Party and Solicitor's Permits are obtained through the Clerk's office.
