Cook County Min. Wage and Sick Leave Opt-out

On June 6, 2017 the Village Board voted unanimously to adopt two Village Code amendments which will require employers within Lincolnwood to comply only with State and Federal laws regarding sick leave benefits and minimum wage laws and no other regulations; in effect opting-out of the Cook County regulations which were passed in October of 2016 and take effect on July 1. This means that employers in Lincolnwood will not be required to offer a minimum wage and/or sick time benefits in excess of what was already required by applicable State/Federal laws. Read more here.
