Union Pacific Recreation Path
The Union Pacific Recreation Path is a multi-use path that provides connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians between Devon and Touhy Avenues on the east side of Lincolnwood. The asphalt path is 12 feet wide with a 2 foot gravel shoulder on each side. The path was constructed on land purchased from the Union Pacific Railroad.
Payment for 80% of the cost of construction came from a federally funded Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant.
