Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is comprised of Five (5) members appointed by the Village President, with staggered terms of appointment.
The Commission is responsible for the certification and appointment of police officers and for promotions within the Police Department, with the exception of the Chief and Deputy Chief. The Board conducts disciplinary hearings when the Chief of Police brings formal charges against a sworn member of the Police Department.
Board size: 5 members
Term: Each member shall serve three years
Meeting date: As required to address Police Department matters
