RESCUE RANGERS
Mayor Turry's Rescue Rangers initiative is a program for our senior and disabled residents who lack the resources and are unable to complete daily living tasks, such as shoveling snow, walking a pet, bringing out and returning the garbage toters, to name a few. Our Rangers are local 7th and 8th graders as well as some high school students who have signed up to earn approximately $10 per hour, however, the amount is determined by the homeowner and student.
Program Objectives
- To develop a greater sense of community by creating a plan where the Village can take the lead in solving real life problems.
- To help youth demonstrate leadership and problem solving.
- To build pride and loyalty among neighbors for a job well done.
- To build a stronger relationship between the public entities, Village and School.
Those in need can contact my office at (847) 745-4717 to obtain the name and number of a Rescue Ranger who lives nearby.
