RESULTS ARE IN!
Thank you to the 1,735 participants of the 38th annual Lincolnwood Turkey Trot! The rain held off for our runners and sponsor to enjoy another fabulous race day. Results are posted below or you may check them through Active.net here.
Lace up your running shoes and join us for the 38th annual Lincolnwood Turkey Trot! This CARA Certified 5K/10K race and 5K fitness walk takes you through scenic Lincolnwood, featuring a flat, fast course perfect for novice as well as experienced runners and walkers. For our youngest athletes (10 years of age and under), the Drumstick Dash will be the perfect way to round out this historic running event!
A portion of the Turkey Trot proceeds are donated to the Niles Township Food Pantry which serves approximately 3,500 individuals a month. As part of our commitment to the food pantry, we also encourage you to donate a non-perishable food item on race day to be entered into the post-race raffle for a chance to win terrific prizes.

- $30 by November 7 at 5:00 pm; $35 after November 7 at 5:00 pm and Race Day
- $12 by November 7 at 5:00 pm; $15 after November 7 at 5:00 pm and Race Day
You may register in one of four ways for the Turkey Trot:
1) Online via Active.com — Click here to register online. Please note: a small processing fee is added to all online registrations. Online registration closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 21! We only accept cash or check on Race Day.
2) In person Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Parks and Recreation Department office (6900 N. Lincoln Avenue in Village Hall)
3) Via fax (847) 673-4413
4) By mail (Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department, 6900 N. Lincoln Avenue, Lincolnwood, IL 60712)
Race packets will be available for pick-up in the Parks and Recreation office located at 6900 N. Lincoln Avenue as follows:
- Monday – Friday, November 17 – 21 from 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Extended Hours: Thursday, November 20 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Saturday, November 22 from 9:00 am-Noon
- Race Day (look for Packet Pick-Up signs) from 6:30-8:30 am
9 years and under, 10-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70-79 years, 80 years and better
Moisture wicking long-sleeve running shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered runners and walkers (Drumstick Dash participants receive a long-sleeve cotton t-shirt). All adult shirts will be men’s sizes; ladies, you may want to size down. Trophies awarded for 1st – 3rd place finishers in each age division, male and female, in each race. Awards are given to the top male and female Lincolnwood finisher in each race. Awards are also given to each male and female overall winner in each race.
Don’t Forget the Raffle!
Please bring a non-perishable food item to be included in the post-race raffle for a chance to win fabulous prizes! All non-perishable food items and a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry. Get in the spirit and donate what you can to help those less fortunate in the area!
Free parking is available in the Republic Bank, Concentra Primary Care and Lincolnwood Produce parking lots and along side streets not on the race route where parking restrictions are not listed. Parking is prohibited on Lincoln, Morse and Kostner Avenues.
After the race, we invite you to continue the fun and festivities with our post-race party, featuring the rock ‘n’ roll sounds of local favorites, “The Wind Gypsys.” It’s always a great time and we hope to see you there.
Frequently Asked Questions
» Are strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, you can run or walk with a stroller. Please be considerate and line up at the back of the pack.
» What about other wheeled vehicles?
For safety reasons, bicycles, in line skates, roller skates, scooters, other wheeled personal vehicles are NOT allowed on the racing course.
» Are dogs (or other animals) allowed on the course?
No, for safety reasons, we cannot allow animals on the course. Please leave your pets (including turkeys) at home.
» Can participants wear costumes?
Absolutely! Dressing up is definitely a fun part of this race. Participants are HIGHLY encouraged to dress up. Of course, you’re not limited to turkeys — we welcome all crazy outfits!
