The Village's participation rate in the 2010 Census is 75%.

The U.S. Census will begin sending Census Takers door-to-door to every household that does not mail back a completed 2010 Census form. In order to properly identify a Census taker, follow these steps:

  1. The census taker must present an ID badge that contains a Department of Commerce watermark and expiration date.
  2. The census taker will provide you with supervisor contact information and/or the Local Census Office phone number for verification, if asked.
  3. The census taker will ONLY ask you the questions that appear on the census form.
