Work Not Requiring a Village Permit

No Village Permit is required for painting, wallpapering, decorating, or the simple replacement of light fixtures.  A Village Permit is also not required for the standard replacement of refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, clothes washers or dyers, unless the replacement requires a change to the existing electrical or HVAC system. A Village permit is also not required for tuck pointing or garage door replacement.
