Effective Monday, February 24, 2020, the Records Division of the Police Department will be adjusting their office hours to be 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. During that time, residents and visitors will be able to interact directly with the Records Division on any inquiries that they may have for the Police Department. Outside of those hours, the Police Department will still be open, with visitors being able to use the phone that is monitored in the vestibule to make contact with Police Dispatch. Police Dispatch will provide assistance over the phone and can assign a Police Officer to meet with the caller in the Lobby of the Police Department. This is a slight adjustment to the current hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. to align the Records Division operations with neighboring communities.
This decision was influenced by an evaluation that found that there was little activity from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., resources could be better aligned to meet the peak hours of demand, and the new proposed hours would be cost effective for the Village. This change will not affect Police operations or the ability of residents to reach out to the Police Department with concerns or questions. Below is a list of frequently asked questions related to the adjustment of hours for our Records Division.
