Adult Fitness

The Parks and Recreation Department realizes the importance of staying fit and having fun while you’re doing it. Our classes and certified instructors provide a non-intimidating environment for all skill levels and abilities.

If you would like to teach, or have an idea for a new fitness class that you’d like to see us offer, please email us your ideas.


Zumba + Toning 

Wednesdays 7-8 pm at the Proesel Park Tent

(Age 16 years+) Shake, shake and shrink in this one hour class that features both Zumba and Zumba Toning. Dance to world rhythms to burn calories, boost energy, and set your body free. Then pick up your toning sticks or light hand weights for some serious body-sculpting to red-hot rhythms. Light hand weights available and cleaned before and after each class, however participants are encouraged to bring their own light hand weights when possible.

June 24 – July 29 | Fee: R$72/NR$90

Due to group gathering guidelines, drop-in participation is not permitted.

Peace Yoga
Peace Yoga

Mondays 6:45-7:45 pm at the Proesel Park Tent

(Age 16 years+) Peace Yoga is the perfect combination of basic stretches, yoga postures, breath work, meditation and relaxation all geared to create harmony within the mind, body and spirit. It promotes healthy internal organ functions and smooth energy circulation within all systems of the body. Peace Yoga movements are designed to stretch and tone muscles, loosen stiff joints, help correct poor posture, improve balance and leave you feeling agile and refreshed.

Forever Fitness

Tuesdays & Thursdays at the Pergola near the Aquatic Center

R$32/NR$40

(Age 55 years+) This class, specifically designed for older adults, will cover all four elements of fitness: strength exercises help to build muscle and increase metabolism, to  help keep weight and blood sugar in check; balance exercises to increase muscle support, which may help to prevent falls; stretching exercises to give you more freedom of movement, and endurance exercises to increase your heart rate and breathing. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear sun protection. Due to group gathering guidelines, drop-ins are not permitted.

Each session has two times slots: 9-9:30 am and 10-10:30 am

Session 1: June 23 – July 2

Session 2: July 7 – July 16

Session 3: July 21 – July 30
