Cooperative Youth Programs

Created by a merger of the Morton Grove Park District, Skokie Park District, and the Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department, the Central Suburban League (CSL) is committed to providing a community-based youth sports experience designed to serve all levels and abilities. The CSL is supported by Niles North and Niles West High Schools.

Youth Basketball (Boys and Girls grades K-8)

This league is formed in cooperation with the Skokie Park District, Morton Grove Park District, and Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation. This instructional basketball program is led by volunteer coaches who will develop players’ skills and character with an emphasis on participation and fun. Games played at the Weber Leisure Center in Skokie.

Youth Developmental Flag Football

Grades 1-4

This instructional program is led by trained coaches who will develop players’ flag football skills. This co-rec program is scheduled to begin the weekend of September 10 and runs through November 5. All games are played at Oakton Park in Skokie, IL. Register online at or in person at the Skokie Park District (Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie).

Swim America – Swim Instruction

A cooperative Program offered by the Skokie Park District & School District 219

All swim classes are held at Niles West High School. Registration is processed through the Skokie Park District. Individuals who reside within the taking boundaries of School District 219 are eligible for the resident rate.

This program for ages 5-15 is a progressive learn-to-swim program that divides each class of 30 children into small groups based on their skill level. Non-swimmers will start at Level 1 and will progress through the program as they achieve the goals for each level. At the completion of Level 10, swimmers will be prepared to join a swim team.

Youth Gymnastics

A cooperative Program offered by the Morton Grove Park District & School District 219

Classes are available at the Prairie View Community Center (PVCC), Maine East High School, and Niles West High School, which has equipment for all Olympic gymnastics events and a training foam pit. Participants should wear comfortable clothing. No jeans or clothes with zippers.

Registration is processed through the Morton Grove Park District. Lincolnwood residents are able to pay the resident rate by entering “MGPS” when the school code is requested.
