The Best Summer Memories are Made at Lincolnwood Summer Day Camp
Lincolnwood Summer Day Camp is back for a summer filled with fun, sun and friendships while keeping safety in mind! Each week will have a unique theme where campers will fill their day with swimming, sports, crafts, STEM activities and a weekly onsite fieldtrip. Camp will be held at Proesel Park.
Our friendly and trained staff will be there to provide a exciting and safe camp experience. Additional COVID-19 related policies and procedures can be viewed at lincolnwoodil.org. As COVID-19 regulations change, we will provide updates to our program offerings to keep you informed when the changes pertain to the summer camp program.

The 2021 Summer Day Camp program will adhere to any COVID-19 restrictions that apply. The guidelines and restrictions are very fluid and the following activity restrictions may change at any given time. Any changes will be communicated prior to implementation.
|Field Trips||Yes||Each week we will bring entertainers and on-site field trips that follow the weekly camp themes|
|Swimming||Yes||Camp will include recreational swim time at the aquatic center at least once per week. As guidelines evolve for swimming pool capacity, our team will continue to work to find additional swim time for the children in the camp program.|
|Swim Lessons||Yes||Swim lessons at the aquatic center are being offered before camp hours this year. Campers who register for swim lessons will be checked in at the aquatic center and then walked to camp with staff at the end of their lesson. Once the swim lesson schedule is available, our team will share it with all camp families.|
|Tennis Lessons||Yes||Tennis lessons through E-Town Tennis are being offered after camp hours this year. Further information will be made available in the 2021 summer brochure.|
|Teen & Preschool Camp||Maybe||An ongoing interest list has been developed for families who would like to register a child for a camp that serves 3-4 year olds or sixth- eighth graders. To join this list visit this LINK. If additional space within the community can be secured, we will strive to offer a camp option for these age groups. Specialty camps are also available for youth up to age 13.|
|Masks at Camp||Yes||The program will adhere to current mask mandates and guidelines. At this time, masks will be required. This is especially when physical distancing is not possible.|
|Playground Play||Yes||Campers will have the opportunity to enjoy playgrounds on a daily basis. Groups of campers will likely rotate through playground time, masks will be worn while on the equipment, and campers will wash/disinfect their hands before and after using the equipment. The playgrounds will remain open to the public. When possible, camp will use the playground during slow times.|

Traditional Camp Refund Policy
Please familiarize yourself with the camp refund policy, located below. The Session I refund request deadline is May 24; and the Session II refund request deadline is June 26. These deadlines are adhered to without exception.
- 100% refund given two weeks prior to the start of each camp session less a service charge. Service charges are as follows: $10for fees under $50; $20 for fees $50-$200; $30 for fees over $200.
- Less than two weeks prior to the start of each camp session, the service fee increases to 25% of the program fee, only if a replacement is found for your camper’s spot. If no replacement is found, no refund will be issued.
- No refunds will be issued three days after the start of each camp session, or one day after the start of each Pick-a-Week.
- A refund request form must be completed for all refunds. Forms are available at the Parks and Recreation office or at www.recreation.lwd.org.
Please note: Refunds take 4-6 weeks to process once we receive the request form. For questions, please call (847) 677-9740.
General refunds will be granted when requested five full working days before the start of a program. All refunds are subject to a 10% administrative fee and will be mailed in the form of a check within 4-6 weeks of your request. Charges cannot be reserved on credit cards.
IN THE CASE OF ILLNESS, EMERGENCY OR RELOCATION
Should you need to discontinue participation in a program due to an illness, emergency or relocation, we ask that you submit proof of relocation or a written medical explanation from a physician. Upon receipt we will refund you the classes not attended less a 10% administrative fee.
In the event a program does not reach minimum enrollment and the class is cancelled by the department a full refund will be issued. The administrative fee does not apply in these instances.
LINCOLNWOOD INTERNATIONAL SOCCER ACADEMY
No refunds will be issued after the first day of soccer camp.
Maine Niles Special Recreation Association (M-NASR)
Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department will continue to work with M-NASR to provide inclusion support on a case by case scenario for participants who register for and meet the behavior and COVID-19 safety guidelines.
