The Cook County Department of Planning and Development’s Residential Resilience Program is offering grants of up to $25,000 for one-time residential construction to repair flood damage and minimize the risk of floods in the future. Cook County residents interested in applying for the grant must meet the following qualifications:
1. Owner occupied, single family home (1-4 units)
2. Owned home prior to April 2013
3. Meet household income requirements (Low-Moderate Income for Cook County)
4. Can provide proof that the home was flooded between April and May 2013 through insurance claims, photographs, etc.
