Madeleine Grant Volunteer of the Year Award

Every year the Village honors one resident with the Madeleine Grant Volunteer of the Year award. The Award is named after Madeleine Grant, who served this community in a variety of capacities as a member of Committees, the Library Board President, and serving as Mayor for nearly eight years. This Award is designed to reflect Madeleine Grant’s strong commitment to volunteerism. At the Tuesday meeting, Madeleine Grant’s daughters, Maura and Elizabeth, presented Dr. Sheri Doniger, DDS, with the 2020 Madeleine Grant Volunteer of the Year Award. Dr. Doniger has been a resident of Lincolnwood for the last 37 years and during that time has served in multiple capacities throughout the community, including serving as a Trustee for the Lincolnwood Library Board and serving on the Niles Township District 219 School Board. Dr. Doniger has served in various roles for the community including as a member of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, serving on the Lincolnwood Fest Publicity Committee, the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce Co-Chair of Women in Motion as well as part of the Illinois Literacy Coalition / Friends of the Lincolnwood Library Board.
