TIER 3 MITIGATIONS
Updated November 24, 2020
The State of Illinois moved into Tier 3 mitigations on Friday, November 20. The guidelines include a “pause” for indoor recreation programs, and increased safety precautions for outdoor activities. Outdoor programs may include no more than ten participants, and masks must be worn throughout the program even when able to distance from fellow participants and instructors.
The Parks and Recreation Department has implemented contingency plans for programming, which include virtual options, take home activity kit options in lieu of traditional events, and outdoor in-person options that operate as the weather permits.
If you are interested in a specific program or class, please reach out to our team at email@example.com and you will be connected with the Recreation Supervisor who can provide an update on the status of the program.
The Village’s parks, paths, and playgrounds remain open at this time. Please remember to wear a mask over your mouth and nose when not able to distance from others, maintain at least 6′ distance from people who are not in your household whenever possible, avoid crowds and gathering, and stay home if you or any household members have COVID-19 symptoms.
The Parks and Recreation Department appreciates the opportunity to continue to serve our community’s recreational needs, within the framework of the State of Illinois’ COVID-19 precautions and guidelines.
