2. Introduction

   Who May Enter? 

   Any resident within the Village of Lincolnwood’s corporate limits. Entries are due by the first Friday in September.

    To apply, complete the web form below or submit an application to the Public Works Department. If you have any questions about the application, please get in touch with Public Works at publicworks@lwd.org or 847-675-0888. 

   Judging 

   The Lincolnwood Environmental Commission will conduct the judging of all entries. Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, design, composition, environmental sensitivity, and overall quality. While aesthetics hold their merit, equal importance is placed on the thoughtful integration of native plantings and their contribution to ecological balance, emphasizing a harmonious coexistence with nature. Gardens/Projects do not have to be visible from the street. 

   How Will Winners Be Honored?

   Winners will be recognized in a future edition of the Village Newsletter. The top winner will receive a $75 gift certificate, the first runner-up will receive a $50 gift certificate, and the second runner-up will receive a $25 gift certificate to a Lincolnwood business.
