The Union Pacific Recreation Path is a multi-use path providing connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians between Devon and Touhy Avenues on the east side of Lincolnwood. The asphalt path is a 12-foot wide paved path with a 2-foot gravel shoulder. The path was constructed on land purchased from the Union Pacific Railroad.
Payment for 80% of the cost of construction came from a federally funded Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant.
